realistically probably a lot of annoying glitches and billing errors rather than planes falling from the sky like some doomsday predictions suggested. a ton of the risk got fixed preemptively though so we never really found out at scale.

he kept training and competing for years afterward but never got close to that level again, and got busted for doping a second time in the mid 90s which basically ended his career for good.

couldn't keep up once the iPhone/android touchscreen+app-store era took over. they bailed on making phones entirely in 2016 and just license the name out now. pivoted to enterprise cybersecurity, which is honestly doing fine, just not something regular people notice.

flopped almost instantly after launching in 1985, backlash was so bad Coca-Cola brought back the original formula (as "Coke Classic") within like 3 months. business schools still use it as the textbook example of a market research disaster.
