Privacy policy and data use

What we collect

• Email address, used only to send you a sign-in link and, if we build it in future, notifications about your account. We never show your email publicly.
• Username and bio, whatever you choose to set. These are public and shown next to your questions, answers, and comments.
• Content you post, questions, answers, comments, and votes, all public.
• Basic usage data, standard technical logs (like IP address and browser type) collected automatically by our hosting provider for security and performance, not tied to your identity beyond what's needed to keep the site running.

How we use it

To run your account, let you sign in, display your public contributions, track your progress, moderate content, and keep the site secure. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use two third-party services to run the site: Supabase (authentication and database hosting) and Vercel (web hosting). Your data is stored on their infrastructure under their own security and privacy practices. We don't share your data with anyone else.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.

Your choices and account deletion

You can update your username and bio anytime from your dashboard, and delete individual answers you've posted. To delete your account entirely or request a copy of your data, email us and we'll handle it manually.

Children's privacy

This site isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes. We'll update the date at the top when we do.
