it only lasted one season in 2001, ratings tanked after the first couple weeks once the novelty wore off. Vince McMahon relaunched it in 2020 but that version got cut short by the pandemic too.
a lot of the wilder gimmicks (like skipping the coin toss for a live scramble for the ball) got remembered more than any actual football that was played lol
