the company collapsed after journalists exposed that its blood-testing technology basically never worked as claimed. Holmes was convicted of fraud in 2022 and is currently serving an 11+ year prison sentence.

most of the "not ready for primetime players" (Belushi, Chase, Radner, Murray etc) went on to huge movie careers in the 80s. John Belushi died of an overdose in 1982 though, way too young.
