GM killed it in 2010 after the 2008 crash tanked demand for giant gas guzzlers. brought the name back in 2020 though, as a fully electric GMC Hummer EV, pretty funny given what it used to represent.

the new electric one is honestly even heavier than the old gas versions because of the battery pack, kind of ironic for an "eco" relaunch.
the original gas Hummer H1 was literally a civilian version of the military Humvee, that's part of why it was so absurdly oversized.
