they briefly tried to pivot into pharma in 2020, got a government loan for drug ingredients during covid, but the whole thing got weird fast with an SEC investigation into suspicious stock trades right before the announcement.
wildest part is they actually invented the digital camera back in 1975 and sat on it because they were scared it'd kill their film business. digital cameras and phone cameras ate them alive anyway. filed for bankruptcy in 2012, now a much smaller specialty chemicals/imaging company.
