still there, still gonna go supernova eventually, key word "eventually," could be tomorrow or 100,000 years from now, nobody can predict it. that big dimming everyone got excited about in 2019/2020 turned out to just be a dust cloud it burped out, not the actual collapse.
when it does go supernova it'll be visible in broad daylight for weeks apparently. definitely on my bucket list to witness lol
